A Lark Hello!

“Lark” is a word that appears many places in our world. From being part of my name (of course!) to Shakespeare’s writings, and on to -as I just found out- a new restaurant opening up in Boulder (Larkburger).
It has always held special meaning for me, and I try and keep that meaning and spirit in mind as I live my life. Let me explain. Shakespeare, as I mentioned before, writes larks into many of his plays including Midsummer Night’s Dream and Romeo and Juliet where they melodiously greet the day, …

A Soulmate Giggle: I Love you World.

“Love is the passionate search for a truth other than your own; and once you feel it, honestly and completely, love is forever. Every act of love, every moment of the heart reaching out, is a part of the universal good: it’s part of God, or what we call God, and it can never die.”  -Shantaram
I’m in Love, knock-down-goofy-grin-do-a-silly-dance-in-love with the human race.  The odd, the crazy, the mysterious, the future, the past, the now!  We are adaptable, inspired, full of hope, smiles, imagination, and spirit.  We are art!

Oél Ngáti Kámeie: Avatar Discussions

“I ducked and threw my body sideways, instinctually catching myself as the Banshee narrowly missed me in its perfectly executed dive. My breath caught as I looked down 700ft to the earth below.  Whew, what a fall that would have been!”

I’ve suddenly been thrown from the trees of beauty and whimsicality into a deep and contemplative river.  Quite shocking at first, I’ve settled down to ponder what I see, and how I got here.

 What did it?

Electropolis is five minutes long, but it has so much in it, and is so powerfully crafted, that it …

Flight of a Dream

“Eyes closed, I feel the weight of the bamboo ring resting gently on my hands. The heat of the flames warms my fingers as the bamboo gets lighter and lighter. I send a thought into the universe wishing for a beautiful, long, and meaningful flight.

I look across at my friend and see the deepness of the prayers she is sending, sadness, death, love, family, hope, gratitude, freedom. We hang on just a bit longer as the light starts to lift. Another moment passes, another wish sent, another world shared.

My …

How to Write Well: 9 Essentials to Communicating with Purpose

Writing well is tough!. The details come with practice, and truly great writing must have every base covered.  However here are a couple simple things that should be done in every piece of writing you do, and I do mean EVERY bit of writing, whether it is a 140 character social media update, a journal entry, love letter, shopping list, or thesis paper.
1. Ask yourself what the goal is for writing in the first place.  Before you even get a sentence down, why are you writing at all? This is often …
