burning-matchIgnite (verb)-
1. to arouse or excite feelings and passions.
2. To set fire to.

14 fast-paced presentations.

                               20 slides.

                                               15 seconds per slide.

Every presentation is pre-selected by the audience for it’s hard-hitting passion, entertainment, and meaning.  The goal?  to ignite the audience! (no not set fire to you literal SOB…).

July 2nd, Boulder Theater.  Come see what has inspired cities around the world, and Boulder 4 times already.  A growing community of agile-minded people get together to share ideas and motivate each other through a synergetic evening of fun.

Whatever level of involvement you are looking for this is an amazing opportunity!

LAZY: Looking for some cheap entertainment?  Tickets are $5, are on sale now  and include a T-shirt, raffle prizes, and admission to the after party!  After the presentations dance your socks off to music from two bands! The Autumn Film and Fellow Citizens.

TYPICAL: Want to hear a presentation of something specific?  Vote for topic that interests you.  Voting starts Thursday June 11th at Midnight!

MOTIVATED: Want to get really involved?  Share something you are passionate about?  Submit an idea for voting, and get the opportunity to share it with an interested audience of close to a thousand!

Why do I care?

After Ignite Boulder 4 I wrote a pretty harsh blog post about it, which sparked a serious discussion amongst some of the previous speakers and more outspoken audience members. Andrew, being the genius he is, put everyone in on the discussion in charge of the next one (Ignite Boulder 5).

For the last month I’ve been thinking of topics that I’m passionate about, or that really have a message I want to convey. Every time I thought of one I’d put it in my phone.  I just checked, the list has 37 ideas.

The one I chose for Ignite Boulder 5, believe it or not, is one of the lighter topics. After my veritable rant about content and messages, I went the way of passion, and chose something I’ve been interested in for years, that will be entertaining to learn about, and fun to present.  Give it a look! (and maybe a vote after Thursday June 11th at Midnight if it grabs you like it does me!)

The truth is, when I look at the list of topics it doesn’t matter who presents.  We already have 1000% improvement!  And my prediction is Ignite Boulder 5 is going to blow the mind of everyone who walks through the door!ignite-eye-on-fire

    Awesome post Larkin!

This Ignite will be the one that everyone talks about for the rest of the summer, if not the rest of the year.

Usually someone this cock sure of their impending success would turn me off, but this time I am deeply interested.

This might be more for practicality’s sake since I fly all the time, but still… I’m going to vote now.

hey hey hey! I’m sure of IGNITE’s success, not my own :-) my presentation could easily flop hard, or maybe not even get voted in! Hope you come though!

BTW, vote again. They were all reset today at noon, so nothing from before counts.

    Happy Friday!
