Unique Paths Through the Universe
It’s always interesting beginning to write… takes a bit to get things rolling and thoughts to start expressing themselves on the page. I wonder if there is a kind of person tied to writing as extroverts are to talking? People who think better while they are writing then thinking it out before they actually write.
I was sitting in the hot tub today looking up at the snow falling on my face and watching each individual snowflake follow its own path to the ground. I became aware that yes, each flake is individual, and no two are formed the same, but even more unique is the path that each one takes to earth. Two may fall on the same place and often do since we regularly receive many inches of snow at a time, but almost none of those most likely fell from the same place in the sky, and even more remote is the chance that they took the exact same path to the ground. Adding to that the fact that each one is shaped differently, there is almost no chance even across all of history that the same shaped snowflake fell from the same place in the sky, along the same path, to come to rest at the same place on the ground. Ha, and I guess if that ever happens no one will be there to notice anyway, so who cares?
Sound familiar? It felt like a good analogy for people and their lives. Think about it…
Now do snowflakes ever touch each other on their path from the sky to the earth?
