Yukon Ultra-Rafting: A Pause in the Adventure
Wilderness is something we seldom experience as social dwelling humans anymore. The vast expanses of nature, gory and serene in their realness have shrunk and hidden away from humanity and we are much worse off for it.
Teva gives $10,000 to “Teva Life Agents” to have the adventure of a lifetime and document it.
Andrew Hyde and I submitted a video to Teva at the end of January. Many of you helped us along the way with your comments and energy. Thanks you!
In the end Teva picked a Life Agent: a spectacular individual who is embarking on an amazing adventure. Randy’s adventure http://www.2020visionquest.com/. Good luck Randy! You are amazing in your ability to impact the world, and this will be a huge success.
Check it out! Follow him through his journey!
Andrew, I would have loved to spend a summer with you on a raft. I’m still not totally certain one of us wouldn’t have ended up hiking out half way through totally pissed off and unable to stand the company of the other, or gotten eaten by a bear, or carried off by mosquitoes, or any of the other horrible deaths that could have happened. But what is an adventure without a healthy level of uncertainty and unknown?
Friends, family, loved ones, the adventure spirit is far from hibernating, so keep your eyes open for what comes next, and thank you all for your wonderful and heartfelt support. It was one of the most amazing things to read through the comments and know how much you support such a crazy-awesome endeavor!
Love Larkin
